Chief Justice Emeritus of the Grand Court

Constie for Defender of the Realm Safety, Service, and Solidarity Hello again, my fellow Lazarenes. I am Constie, also known as Canton Empire. I am a Guardian, Bishop of the Interior, Ambassador to the Pacific, former Chief Justice of the Grand Court, former Ambassador to the East Pacific, former LLA solider, and former Deputy Director of Ceremonies. Needless to say, I've been around the block a few times, and I'm back, running for the position of Defender of the Realm, or the Vice Delegate of Lazarus spot. I believe that my past and well rounded experience in government makes me expressly qualified in the event I must become Sovereign. Office of the Defender of the Realm I also wish to revolutionize the role. Right now, the job of Defender of the Realms is "Wake up, check if Sovereign is alive, go to sleep." I find this unacceptable. The office of the Defender of the Realm could do so much more, acting as an Archbishop without Portfolio, reporting to whatever committee needs help. Security Next thing to do, is reorganize the succession list. As we saw in the NLO coup, residency does not always equal loyalty, and that is something that our line of succession doesn't realize. In office, I will push for a change from the current "time in office" system, to a system based on endorsements and influence, which would be more efficient. I also propose that during a special election for Defender of the Realm, the 3rd in line for the delegacy shall become the Defender of the Realm-designate until a new Defender can be chosen. The Defender of the Realm and foreign policy In office, I will organize a conference on the purpose and execution of the Vice Delegate and Security Councillors offices. This will allow us to seek out security ideas from other regions and adapt it to our own, while also promoting the Celestial Union to a wider audience. Community and the Defender of the Realm As the Defender of the Realm, I will seek to make a connection with those who have not registered for citizenship by encouraging posting on the RMB, endoswapping, and them to eventually join our offsite community here in Uniterra. I will also run several polls a week as the current outgoing Defender of the Realm, Kowassati, has done, giving us fun, thought provoking, and interesting polls. It also will be my job to encourage all nations to join Interior Bishop Doperland's Earth based RP map, designed for RP on the RMB, which has granted regions success in the past. Qualifications of the Defender of the Realm and Miscellaneous. I believe that I am well rounded enough to be Defender of the Realm and ascend to the position of Sovereign. Legislative experience? I was the Deputy Director of Ceremonies. Culture experience? Current Bishop of the Interior. Foreign Policy experience? Former Ambassador to the East Pacific, current Ambassador to the Pacific. Legal experience? I was the former Chief Justice of Lazarus. Military experience? Former LLA member. Longstanding citizen? Nearly two years as a member of Lazarus. Misc. Alternate titles for the Defender of the Realm (in official or informal correspondence) Mr./Madam Defender Mr./Madam Realm Defender Mr./Ms./Mrs. Vice Delegate. That's my platform, ensuring Safety, Service, and Solidarity. I really hope you will choose me to be Defender of the Realm. Peace out kiddies! Oh, btw, Ask me Anything! Also, PS New Rogernomics Excerpt from the Elections Act "Candidates may begin campaigning immdiately after posting their candidacy in the Standing thread" So don't lock this topics, and unlock Prole's please. |

I will allow this Constie, based on special circumstances. But a simple look through past elections shows campaigns beginning after the nominations thread closed.

Although i don't think it applies as much to you as it does the Sovereign, I'll ask you what I've asked everyone else. What are your thoughts on new ideas and people in the government? Do you have any plans on increasing the interest of new people in the government, and if so, what are your plans? |

In the event of the Sovereign abandoning their post, the Defender of the Realm will be called to assume the position of ingame Delegate. I will ask you the same question I asked the candidates for Sovereign. If you were Sovereign at the time, please tell me how you would have voted on the following recent issues? Please be as detailed in your answers as possible. Condemn the CAIN Commend Renaissancistic People Commend Brunhilde Please do the same for these following proposals from the past six months. Please be as detailed as possible and explain all the political and gameplay considerations which led to your decision. Repeal of "Condemn DEN" Liberate Eternal Scholars Liberate Social Liberal Union Repeal of "Condemn The Pacific" Thank you. Edited by Kondratev, Jan 30 2017, 01:53 AM.

I am 100% for bringing new people into the government, putting them in positions as Bishops and Deputy Covenors. Taking from example, Europeia has a great system of incorporating new citizens into regional and culture through their Civil Service Office, and I think that is something we could adapt to our region. |

Well, first of all, I would like to say that if I were to assume the spot of ingame delegate, I would continue the tradition of voting for the choice the regions WA members voted. In becoming Sovereign, you abandon your right to independently vote on resolutions. That being said, I am against Condemn the CAIN, because it is mostly the resolutions author whining about how unfair CAIN is, which is, in my opinion, not grounds for condemning a region. NOTE: Will answer in parts. |

As for Commending Renaissancistic I believe his record speaks for itself when it comes to is involvement in TNP and the GP world. As for Commend Brunhilde, she has indicated that she does not want the Commendation, so I am against. I honestly did not care either way with DEN. I was not really tracking their missions, so I would not care. Liberate Eternal Scholars. I was for it, and politically the fight for Eternal Scholars brought different regions and people together, much like CAIN does, but more informal. Liberate Social Liberal Union, I was not really familiar with it, so I read the forum discussion and I believe I voted yes. Repeal "Condemn the Pacific", I obviously voted yes, because I wrote it. However, I hoped that the proposal coming from a Lazarene would make peace easier for us |

To quote Fris on the NS forums:
Will being elected change your interactions on the NS forums? Personally, i'm wary of electing a vice delegate who's close to losing their nation. |
