 Citizens of Lazarus, today I stand before you as a candidate for the esteemed position of Grandee Secretary of Lazarus. I am running for this position because I am fed up. This government focuses on those who join the forum or the discord, but they forget about the other four thousand nations that resided in the mother sinker. This is a travesty, and the blame lies on our government. When Grandee Secretary Kowassiti took office, I had a hope for the future, that activity would be restored. I stand here one month later, with my hopes dashed. This election I'm saying enough is enough. We need to bring back activity or our beloved Humane Republic will cease to exist. We need to bring back the days when the position of Vice Delegate wasn't just waiting for the delegate to CTE or retire. If I am lucky enough to serve as Grandee Secretary I promise, right here and right now, that no nation will be left behind. I will be a Vice Delegate for all the people, not just those who reside on the forums. Elect me, and I will bring in the untapped potential of those the government has ignored for far to long. Elect me, and the status quo will be the status no longer. Lazarenes, take a leap of faith with me. We need something new, something fresh. The same status quo isn't working for us. We need change, and we need it now. Elect me, and I will bring you the change we desperately need. Thank you.

 You can still work together on getting our region active, I trust the delegate, whoever it is, will have ideas and would listen to yours

Well folks, here we are again. This is probably the 4th or 5th time I have run for public office, and this will probably be my last time. This is probably my 4th or 5th time losing, and I can tell you, it does not get any easier. I know it's not real life, but I can tell you, it still hurts like hell. So, I offer my profound congratulations to Grandee Secretary Kowassiti for winning another term. To my supporters, however few there may be, I thank you for having faith in me, and I am sorry I could not win this. My views and my ideas may not be represented tonight, but I will hope that one day, someone will be able to act upon my ideas for the betterment of Lazarus.

Now, I have to ask myself what comes next. Do I ride off into the sunset, never to return? Sulk off into the shadows, to once again be forgotten? Only time will tell, but I will say, this could have been my last huzzah. I have spent almost 2 years in this wonderful region, meeting new people and becoming involved in the community. Alas, tonight, I have been sent a strongly worded message by the citizens of Lazarus that says that you do not want me in elected office. It just was not to be. And it may never be the case. But tonight I will mourn my loss, and tomorrow, I will be a citizen, doing my part, recognized or not.

The former Chief Justice of Lazarus should not sulk. It is frankly, below the dignity of that office. Losing elections is indubitably hard and I truly empathise - it was a kick in my guts when I lost to Starberry - but when you pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and go back to making an invaluable contribution to this region (as you have been doing and admirably) than all will be well and you may just, hopefully, find yourself at the end of that golden path, preferably on a throne and one with your name plastered in gold.
