Citizens of Lazarus, today I stand before you as a candidate for the esteemed position of Grandee Secretary of Lazarus. I am running for this position because I am fed up. This government focuses on those who join the forum or the discord, but they forget about the other four thousand nations that resided in the mother sinker. This is a travesty, and the blame lies on our government. When Grandee Secretary Kowassiti took office, I had a hope for the future, that activity would be restored. I stand here one month later, with my hopes dashed. This election I'm saying enough is enough. We need to bring back activity or our beloved Humane Republic will cease to exist. We need to bring back the days when the position of Vice Delegate wasn't just waiting for the delegate to CTE or retire. If I am lucky enough to serve as Grandee Secretary I promise, right here and right now, that no nation will be left behind. I will be a Vice Delegate for all the people, not just those who reside on the forums. Elect me, and I will bring in the untapped potential of those the government has ignored for far to long. Elect me, and the status quo will be the status no longer. Lazarenes, take a leap of faith with me. We need something new, something fresh. The same status quo isn't working for us. We need change, and we need it now. Elect me, and I will bring you the change we desperately need. Thank you. You may now ask questions. Edited by Constie, Dec 23 2016, 04:33 AM.

So how would you bring activity, exactly? What would you define as the "Status quo?"

The status quo of the Goverment is to tend to the discord and forum communities, while leaving the game side community out. It has been noted before that forumside and gameside exist as two seperate entities. I see no reason why these communities cannot act as one and the same. In fact, I see it as the Grandee Secretary's duty to bring the gap between gameside and forumside. As for how I would fix this, I would start to give incentives for people to come to the forums. We will start RP right off of the RMB, a radical departure from normal GCR pratice, and entice people to mover to the "greener pastures" offsite. Next, we need to start a mass TG campaign. I sent out a mass TG asking for endorsements, and I received 29 in just under a day. I do not see why we cannot do this on a larger scale. These two ideas will also help us retain refounded nations, as they now have a reason to stay with Lazarus. |

Do you plan on cooperating with other government officials, especially the Sovereign, to achieve your goals? |

Absolutely. This will be a group effort. I will work closely with the next Minister Steward aswell. My hope for a first term is to establish a new trend of the government focusing on gameside affairs and our untapped potential. It will require not just me, but all ministers to get this done. I just hope you will give me the chance to spearhead this shift. |

Activity and culture and elevating the downtrodden is all well and good, but all except three mentions of the Grandee Secretary in the Constitution is in the Article entitled "On Security". What would you do as Grandee Secretary to promote the security of the region beyond having the second largest number of endorsements in it?

We can promote both with great efficiency. The mass telegrams I am proposing can promote RP and regional security. As Grandee Secretary, I will heavily promote endotarting because I believe that this is the most efficient way to encourage security. We need to remember that the power of Lazarus comes from its people. If we start sending mass telegrams and encourage new WA nations in Lazarus, then we can raise the average influence of Lazarenes and prevent a coup from having extra harsh effects. |

Why should I care about what a Grandee Secretary has to say about culture or any other general feel-goody themes? The entire focus of the grandee secretary is the security of the region, so I would like to see you prove your bonafides in that area. |

Culture and Security can be linked. Like I said, we can get more endorsements and still can keep activity running. That being said, right now I am 9th in the region for endorsements, and that is rising quickly. I have a SPDR of 22,800, 22nd in the region. If elected, I can keep the region safe. Now, saying that just because the Grandee Secretary is there for the security of the region doesnt mean I cannot help activity. Right now, the only job of the GS is to sit and watch if the Soverign goes inactive. The Grandee Secretary can do so much more, and I believe I can bring security and activity to Lazarus. |

But what can you do that the average citizen couldn't? You could send TGs, but beyond that it doesn't seem like you have much |
