The Universal Allegiance believes in democracy and accepts and encourages diversity in ideologies. We have a strong roleplay community and also encourages our members to hold debates and discussions as way to nurture our region's openness. Politically The Universal Allegiance is against fascist and nazi regions. The Universal Allegiance is currently getting revived after going through a phase of inactivity in the leadership level. What is your region's military stance? Invader/Defender/Imperialist/Neutral (Choose whichever applies): Neutral Does your region maintain an army? Not currently. In the meantime, I'd be interested to know more about The Universal Allegiance...what you personally like about it, and what initially attracted you to it.

The Universal Allegiance is the first ever region I joined in NS. I know it's founder Cloud Peoples from an another site we both were members of, in fact I came to know about NS from a thread he made in that site's forum. What has kept me hooked to the region is it's community. The community is so friendly and accepting that I have never felt the need to look for an another region(I do have puppets of course). I admit that the majority of our region is left leaning(like me) but still there is a great degree of acceptance for conflicting ideologies and hence there is a lot of friendly debates going on all the time on various topics. We went through an inactive phase recently and ever since I was elected to be the chancellor I have been trying to reverse it's effects, and that includes establishing new foreign relations while maintaining the old ones.

That's awesome that your first region was just the right fit for you and you're still there. I think a big problem in NS is that because of the shit recruitment system (spamming telegrams), a lot of people end up in the wrong region and just give up on NationStates entirely...but in your case I'm sure it helped that you know the founder, haha. We're going through a bit of an inactive phase ourselves, but now that the Sovereign has approved relations I'll try to get someone over there as soon as we can. I look forward to helping to build relations between our regions.

I have seen a lot of ns players eagerly joining regions after seeing all those attractive telegrams and then getting disappointed and disliking the game itself. And yeah, knowing the founder did grow a personal attachment with the region for me. I look forward to that too
