It has been scientifically proven that proving someone wrong, makes them believe more. Anyone who knows me well, knows I gave three separate presentations on cognitive bias, degradation of the media, and propaganda, respectfully.

I already know that no amount of evidence will prove anything to most people. I know that people can kill someone for fun and then brainwash themselves into thinking it was self-defense. I already know this is pointless in the grand scheme of things.

However, I have many years left to live and my ability to think is strong. It's not like writing more won't just give me more practice in writing better.

So let's get to it.

The Reply

The most readily apparent problem with the argument of the person this is a reply too, is their statement that democracies are not as valuable because they lead to oligarchies.

The serious problem with this, is that Lazarus is currently controlled by an oligarchy and even if democracy turned into an oligarchy (Which it does, see Anacyclosis), at least it's not oligarchy right away.

It's like saying "Why choose to eat healthy, if you are going to die anyway?", as an argument to get you to not say... Drink a vat of lard or shoot yourself in the face.

It's better to not be something bad and then maybe be something bad, then just be that bad thing.

Other Troubling Things

The person writing knows too much about The South Pacific, and clearly shows they are not a native of Lazarus. They showed up when the trouble started, and they seem to know way more about other regions than Lazarus.

I, having been here 13 months at least, know a fair bit about Lazarus and nothing about The South Pacific. My energy, when I have it, goes to Lazarus...

Funk Is A Tyrant

Funk used to run against people in elections, there were campaigns and people forming parties or groups that might work together if one or the other wins an election.

However, anyone who might run against him, had their ability to run stripped away....

On top of that, anyone who might vote against him... Had their vote taken away....

Oh yeah, and he is making the region into a monarchy, so he's in that position for life. The guy got tired of having to pretend he had things to offer people, so he's going to pull a Putin and Assad, he's just going to be "President For Life".

Why Did People Leave?

Out of all the people I spoke too, when I asked them why they left, so far everyone I've asked said Funk, Killer Kitty, or Lamb.

I am serious, it's the reason I stopped renewing my citizenship over and over. I was tired of being called names, and being low-balled by those three people. I was tired of them accusing people of stuff, of doing things that were shady, and pressuring people so much that they quit.

Andrew, the Delegate, literally quit in the middle of his term. This was after Lamb showed up.

Seriously though, mostly he quit because school and life got really crazy. Same thing happened to Strawberry.

However, Funk will blame my home girl for things beyond her control. I bet he blames Andrew for work, school, and family.

Is the Undead Dominion A Metritrocy?

Um, no. For it to be such a thing, it would have to be pure bureaucracy and have a fair bit of that with a fair amount of elections within the system.

In other words, it would have to run like a less corrupt Pentagon. Either that or pure capitalism, with no corruption.

Let me give an example.

Let's say this whole thing blows over and I run against Funk for the position of Minister of Interior. In a working system that is fair and rewards talent, we would both present RPs we worked on, RPs we setup, and various things we could do to increase culture.

Low on promises, high on proof of experience and talent. It would be like two companies trying to get the customer to buy their product, by making the best product.

Or, perhaps we were both running against each other to run the military.

What we would do, is sit back and let people look over our records. Our fellow soldiers would think about ops we went on and talent we showed, then vote on who has the most ability or leadership skills.

Sumerize What That Means

For Funk's regime to be fair, he would have to run against people and showcase his ability.

Or, he would have other people show their ability to get positions.

They could be ugly, people he hates, people he doesn't know, people he doesn't understand; but still get the position out of sheer talent and support from whoever is in the same field being applied for.

The problem is everyone currently in power in Funk's state is his best bro and kisses up to him. Funk has effectively made a spoil system government, a one party state.

Call it tyranny, call it communism, call it oligarchy, call it whatever you want.... But it's not something good.

Why The Resistance Would Always Make A Better State

I can be a rival of any member of The Resistance and they would still elect me into a position if I showed the most talent.

In the very beginning, I said I was skeptical, and I trusted no one.

What did they do? They supported that, they said I was free to make up my mind and decide if I wanted to work with them or not.

Funk, well... He took my ability to vote or run for office. I said I wasn't sure if I should trust him and he spent zero seconds trying to explain himself.

I'm not his best buddy, I'm too different from him, and he's not comfortable with me giving him any kind of feedback on his leadership.

If he can't take feedback, he can't get better, and if he can't pick people based on talent rather than how much he likes him... His state can't be that healthy or good.
