 Rach Administration Announces Fresh Status of Forces Agreement By Writinglegend (Europeia – November 26, 2017) – The Rach Administration has announced a new Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) with the region of Olympia. "This is part of our commitment to building new ties with up and coming regions," President Rach noted in the public announcement. "It will enable us to gain another ally on the field as well as help Olympia's military achieve its full potential." The region of Olympia recently participated in a minor update military operation with the Europeian Republican Navy (ERN), showing the activity and enthusiasm of their domestic military at getting involved with field operations. They are home to ninety-seven nations and host several prominent Europeian citizens, such as United Vietussia and Pichtonia, who are their President and World Assembly Delegate respectively. A strengthening of ties were bound to happen under the administration following Olympia's signing of the Independence Manifesto. Such a policy decision by Olympia made stronger ties a no-brainer and an inevitable movement of our foreign policy. Olympia's commitment to the ideals of Independence and their rising status among User-Created Regions makes this an exciting development. The move comes after President Rach motioned for the repeal of the Merridel SOFA agreement to be held in stasis before the Senate following the resignation of Merridel's Prime Minister and their lack of internal legislative action. This will be the fourth SOFA agreement Europeia has engaged in since its inception under President Writinglegend two years ago. The proposed agreement will now go to the Senate for ratification. |
