Empress Pregnant?  Pregnancy rumours have recently surrounded the Imperial Household. Many royal experts are stating that they believe Empress Madeline Elisabeta is Pregnant. She married the Emperor last year after 7 years of being engaged to him and since then the public has been wandering when or if the Empress will become pregnant. The rumours have cast a shadow over the Imperial Family with the press hounding members of the House of Candavar. The Empress mother Klara Helgarsson recently said "That such rumours are fiction in the Press' mind and you need to let her live her life", this angered some who said the family needs to become more transparent but pleased the majority who believe they should receive privacy as all people do. So now we wait and wonder, is the Empress pregnant? New Aircraft Carrier Almost Ready to enter Service Today Gizzard Shipyards announced that the first of the Emperor Class Aircraft Carriers is almost ready for entering service with the Imperial Navy. The Aircraft carrier which is the first of the new aircraft carriers built to replace the ageing Township Class carriers will become the navies flagship in November once VIS Township retires after more than 50 years in service. Speaking outside the Ministry of Defence, The Secretary of State for Defence, James Mullenbeck said "These ships are important to our nation and our future, they will shape the nations defence strategy for years to come and that is why we are doing all we can to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible". The Ministry of Defence caused quite a stir recently when it had to take out out a $500 million loan from the National Reserve Fund to finish some work on the ships, but it seems the hard work and stress is finally over and now the ships are ready and will be put to good use. |

Empress Shows Bump and Formally Announces Pregnancy  Last night while at the Memphitz Annual Gala Empress Consort Madeline and Emperor George formally announced that the Empress is pregnant. Rumours have circulated for weeks but the announcement came after increased pressure from the media, the Empress Consort also announced that once the baby arrives she intends to relax her Imperial duties so she can spend time with her child, she says that she wants to be able to raise her children instead of giving her motherly duties to paid help, she also said that once she resumes duties the baby will be looked after by her retired mother and father as well as her sister, this is unusual for monarchs who usually hire help to look after there children. However alternative parenting organisations have called it a great example and said that bonds must be with the parents and not someone who is paid to forge that bond, is this a new era of Imperial parenting? G&V Holdings Fined for Avoiding Taxes  Today the Financial Regulation Agency announced plans to fine Gottenhaffen and Victorina Holdings over 1 Billion Veniasufian Aureus', the move signals the governments willingness to stop financial malpractice. The groups chairman Erin Bedford said that she understood the seriousness of it all and that the company would appeal however, the Emperor has said that using his absolute veto he would suspend any attempt to appeal. Emperor Enters Service  Today at a ceremony in the city of Victorina the first of the Emperor Class ships, Emperor, entered service. The ship which is expected to play a major part in the Empire's future foreign policy. Speaking at the ceremony the Emperor said this: "For The Past few years our nation has lived in a self imposed isolation of sorts but now it's time to end this period and usher in a new era where we take a more active role in the world. Our first goal must be to maintain a strong military for if the time ever comes when we may need it, this carrier will help us to fulfil these aims. I have admired the Imperial Fleet for a long time and today's happenings have ensured that I will continue to admire it for many, many more years to come.
