THE COMMONWEALTH OF KORKOA

"Regrowth, Renewal, Rejuvenation."

BACKGROUND

Founded in rocky beginnings, Korkoa split from the motherland of Kristonia in the late 1700's, under the preamble of a group of explorers and settlers finding new regions in the North Pacific for Kristonia to conquer. However these explorers had other ideas, wanting to instead remove themselves from the oppressive rule of the motherland by founding their own nation. This dream was realized in 1806, in the region of Audaxia, after several years of hardship and sacrifice. The remaining settlers, some 200 strong, found an inland paradise, a place where they felt they could live in peace. Since then, the country has grown slowly, its population still small compared to the rest of the world, but with an indomitable spirit.

The president is able to pass one piece of legislation per year of his term, though this legislation can be vetoed or repealed by a 90% vote of Congress.
