OOC - Agreed with Teutonic Union and featuring some Dr.Who style manipulation of time.

Robert was nervous, he'd meet his girlfriends father Lord Owen of Ó Dubhshláine several times and always enjoyed himself in the man's company, he always had a witty story and a drop of whiskey handy. Robert hadn't asked Orlaith about this and had even made the journey from Lancaster to Limalk in secret, Orlaith being told he was on exercise with the Air Force. Now however as he drove up the family estates drive he was nervous, he was also unannounced and as such took a guardsman by surprise. "I'll find His Lordship Your Highness" the Sergeant said as Robert was allowed through and parked his hire car.

"Robbie" Owen said as he arrived, he gripped the man in a bear hug, "That daughter of mine know you've gone rouge?" he asked as he lead the Prince towards the houses entrance. "Gethen" he yelled for his butler who appeared as if out of nowhere. "Find us a good whiskey, we'll be in my office" he said as he lead Robert into the large room and offered him the comfy armchair that sat opposite his desk. "So what brings a Prince to Limalk in secret?" he asked as Gethen appeared with the bottle.

"Well sir" Robert began but was cut off.

"Robbie, we'll fall out if you keep doing that." the Lord poured a good measure of whiskey for each of them.

"Well Owen" Robert gulped, "I'd like to ask, I'd be grateful if....I erm...." he took a deep breath, "Could I have your permission to marry your daughter?" he blurted the words out. Owen didn't say a word but walked around the desk, his body language made it clear Robert should be stood and he dutifully did so.

"Son" Owen hugged the Prince tightly. "I'd say yes, but you see, it's her Mum the Queen you need to ask, she's the boss, but if it helps I've got your back." Straight away Owen took Robert through to Princess Úna Ó Dubhshláine's office and the United Moreland royal had to repeat the process.

"Have you asked her yet" the Princess asked and Robert shook his head, "Good because a royal marriage needs the blessing of the Emperor."

"You have got to be kidding me" Robert said as he was lead out of the estate bundled into a helicopter and whisked to Thale where finally he received Emperor Han's blessing much to his relief.

That all brought him to this moment, where he now picked Orlaith up from her University class. As the blonde girl left the lecture hall Robert embraced her and then kissed her, without another word he sunk onto one knee, produced a ring and took a deep breath. Already Orlaith's class mates where beginning to film and make excited noises. "Orlaith, will you marry me?" He asked and then held his breath.

"Yes...Yes" Orlaith said with tears running down her face.

The Citadel

Mikhail, sitting in his new office with a new modern style and a huge window that showcases the entire fort and some of it's surroundings, ever since he has received the office, Mikhail never took his eyes off of the view. One of his assistants or helpers comes in, showcasing him a letter. He looks puzzled due to the fact that is was supposed to be given to Constantine and not him, asking him.

"I thought Mikhail was given these now," pointing his head, asking the assistant

"Well, since he is in Unirel, his mail will be forwarded to you, if it is another diplomatic event and he is somewhere else, you may have to be involved in it." He replies.

"Oh, well I would be happy to read whatever this is indeed."

He opens up the letter, revealing the note,

Teutonic Union

Limalk Cathedral in the Tuetonic Union wasn't the largest, nor grandest of religious buildings, it was however rather old, built first in the 9th century the building had grown and evolved over the years, it's major selling point however was the vast parkland it sat in. Today that parkland however was full of people, a mass of well wishers sat setting up picnic's and BBQ's as they waited for the proceedings to start, several large TV screens had been set up to give a live feed of the proceedings inside which would also be beamed to those in United Moreland.

In the families estate Orlaith was in the last moments of getting ready. She'd been up since 5am having a team work on her hair and make up, the last touches to her white dress with a long train onto which silk flowers had been woven were being finished. Her two cousins aged 12 and 15 were being given almost identical treatment as a knock on the door came. "Come in" Orlaith yelled as a seamstress began readjusting part of the dress. The door opened and her father walked in and just stood silently for a moment. "Dad, you ok?" she asked concerned.

"Just thinking how beautiful you look" he said proudly already feeling a tear in his eye, here was his little girl about to marry, about to no longer be under his protection and start a new life, as Princess in a foreign land. He was proud of her, he always was, and today he marvelled at the woman she had become.

"Dad, stop it, you'll set me off" she grinned as the seamstress was satisfied that she was done. The pair hugged and then made their way out and along the manor houses landing, the household staff lined the corridor and hallway that lead to outside, each bowed or curtseyed as the pair passed many of the staff who had worked for Orlaith since she was a little baby wiped away tears. Outside the house was a horse and carriage waiting, members of the Imperial Guard sent by Emperor Hans provided a guard of honour, the two changes to their uniforms for the day was noticeable, first the white flower rucked behind their cap badge, the second the black and white tartan kilt each wore as a nod to the traditions of the Principality. Orlaith waved as she sat in the carriage and watched with a hint of sadness as the estate slipped into the distance behind them, she would return not as a Ó Dubhshláine but as a Cullen. She wondered how Robert and the Morelanders were preparing on the opposite side of Limalk.

"I feel sick" Robert said as he fumbled with the laces of his Air Force uniform shoes, he stood up breathing heavily, his best man and co-pilot Flt.Lt Tom Voice laughed and Robert sat back on the bed in the room still breathing deeply.

"It's not too late to do a runner, get in the plane and run for the hills" Tom chuckled as slapped Prince Robert on the back. "Though I will say mate your batting well above your average, I mean she's pretty, intelligent, has a rich family, is a party animal and can drink you under the table. In fact if your having second thoughts mind if I have a crack."

"Even think about it and I'll end you" Robert said finishing off tying his laces. "So, how do I look?" Robert said standing smartly at attention his uniform now fully donned.

"You'll do" Tom said chuckling.

"I think he looks handsome" the woman's voice came from behind Tom, the Princes three sisters had entered, each dressed in dresses made up of the Moreland colours of pale blue and red. It was his eldest sister Queen Alison who crossed and hugged him, "You look great, Orlaith's a lucky girl" she kissed him on the cheek followed in turn by Jessica and Anna.

"You scrub up well" his youngest sister Anna said giving him a giant hug, the two had always been the closest of the siblings. It was time to go, Alison checked her staff had the box they'd brought with the from Lancaster before the five of them got into a car and made their way to the Cathedral. Groups of locals waved the Moreland flag as the royals passed and Alison and Robert were only too happy to wave at the crowds. They pulled up at the very entrance to the Cathedral and Robert prepared to exit, "Now remember wearing a skirt you always keep your knees together, slide feet out and then twist to get out of a car, don't want a Prince upskirt to be front page of all the newspapers do we." Anna teased.

"For the love of Mithras don't let the locals hear you call it a skirt" Robert smiled as he made a play of following Anna's advice, Tom helped the girls out dressed in an identical uniform with kilt. Queen Alison and Princess Anna linked arms with Robert and made their way into the Cathedral as Thomas escorted Jessica to the front before returning to the door to check that the arriving guests were looked after and to keep his eye out for the approaching Orlaith.

Teutonic Union

The horse and carriage trotted through the streets of Limalk as well wishers waved flags and banners as the wedding party passed. Orlaith sat next to her father who held her hand tightly and they waved back. They passed the old Guild of Blacksmith's building and a group of ten stout men stood on the top step in large leather aprons, they stood as still as soldiers on parade holding a large hammer in their right hands, as the carriage passed they began striking the anvils before them sending a metallic ring through the high sided street. The Duchess laughed at the sight, an age old tradition for big weddings in Limalk.

The carriage turned into the driveway which was edged by members of the various military units drawn from Orlaith's home Principality, with perfect timing the bells began ringing the moment Orliath's foot hit the ground. Large groups jostled for the best view of the bride who waved to the crowd as she linked arms with her father and made her way towards the door. A member of the Imperial Guard saluted as he opened the door, the scraping of seats on marble filled the room as those gathered stood. A harpist began playing as Orlaith and her father walked down the aisle of the church towards her husband to be. Robert stood still, his best man next to him, he couldn't wait to see her but as tradition dicatated it was bad look to turn round. Soon she appeared next to him and he turned and smiled at her, "Wow" Was all he said causing her to blush.

"Dearly beloved we are gathered here today to witness the joining of two noble houses through the wedding of these two young people" the Archbishop began. He rattled through prayer after prayer and a few songs, much of it a mystery to Robert, but this was the love of his life's dream so he was happy to along with it. The ceremony was a traditional Christian one right up until the exchange of vows. The Archbishop smiled, "At this moment we're going a little off script, please be upstanding for Priestess Maria Hogan" he stepped aside as a woman wearing a black dress stepped forward, she was the leader of the Mithrathist faith and now it was her turn.

"I am grateful that both faiths are being honoured here today" she began, "She took a stone flask from her hip and placed it on a wooden table. "We believe that Mithrast came from the water and returned to it, that his energy flows through it. This water is taken from the underground pool we believe Mithras appeared from and disappeared into." She removed the cork. "Robert, do you pledge yourself to Orlaith for all time?"

"I do" Robert said smiling broadly as Maria passed him the stone flask and he drunk from it. Next the same question was asked to Orlaith.

"I do" Orlaith said, Robert breathed a sigh of relief causing them both to laugh, she took a drink of the cool water and handed the flask back to the Priestess.

"May Mithrast bless you and watch over you until the day your waters join with his own" the Priestess stepped back allowing the Archbishop to conclude the ceremony. "It is a great honour for me to now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride." Robert stepped forward and kissed Orlaith as the crowd outside cheered and the harp began to play again. The couple exited the church followed by everyone else and found a crowd of thousands lining the road once more. They boarded the carriage and rode back alone along the road with Robert wrapping his arms around his wife the whole way, confetti filled the air as they passed and reached the royal estate.

The pair shared a private few minutes before the first of the guests cars began to arrive and the couple went and stood on the top step to recieve their guests for the banquet. "Now remember Orlaith, you're a Princess now, act like it ok." Robert teased her as he stole one last kiss before the mingling would begin.
