FactBook #001 The Merchant Federation National Flag Motto: Sanguis Amoris Background The Merchant Federation (1909-1990 2016-?) is the legacy of the Vinitsian Empire, resulting of the creation of a federative union in order to better organize the Empire. The Merchant Federation fought through the world many colonial wars, specially including war against communism, which was violent at the time. The Merchant Federation is well known for its global sea and trade power, and mostly for its trade disputes. With being the first in terms of exports/imports, trade is the key to understand correctly the Merchant Federation. In 1990, following high level of tensions betweens nations within the Federation, and global trade crisis, the Federation is split apart into 8 independent Nations. The heir of this Empire, Vinitsia try, via trade treaties and alliances to maintain its rank as a world power, but with falling trade don't handle the situation. 4th July 1990, Vinitsia, Genova, Velizio, Darze, Reiho, Yuteho, Nehra and Kleysein become independent Nations with the Treaty of Genova City ending the Supremacy of the Merchant Federation. In 2016, following growing activities around the world, with the renaissance of a threat, communism, the three major formers Nations of the Merchant Federation, Vinitsia, Velizio and Genova, decide to discuss and to act to counter the recent crisis, Japao, Unirel, Haydatia, Algorran State... After concertation, they send invitation to the 5 others formers Nations of the Merchant Federation in order to discuss, and to negotiate the de-ratification of the Treaty of Genova City. Only one Nation refuse, the Free Land of Darze. During the night of 4th of July, Vinitsians troops take possession of Darze and establish a new Government that validated the adhesion of Darze to the Merchant Federation. Later in the day, a conference with the 8 formers Members States of the Merchant Federation de-ratified the Treaty of Genova, allowing the re-foundation of the Merchant Federation. One consequence of that change, is the change of Government of all Members States to a Merchant Republic or Territory status. The Merchant Republic of Genova The Merchant Republic of Genova, with 31 millions citizens is the most populated Member State, second richest and also the largest contributor to its budget and militarily, with 57% of total forces coming from that Member State. The Merchant Republic of Velizio The Merchant Republic of Velizio, second most populated Member State of the Merchant Federation and third richest, with 19 millions citizens, is well known for its development in informative technologies. The Merchant Republic of Kleysein The Merchant Republic of Kleysein, one of the most isolated Member State with the Territory of Darze, is the third largest Member State in terms of population with 12 millions citizens and fourth richest. The Merchant Republic of Reiho The Merchant Republic of Reiho, is the sixth most populated Member State with 2,7 millions citizens and the firth richest. The Merchant Republic of Reiho is also the closer Member State to the Merchant Republic of Vinitsia, with its first goal being to protect it from potential northern attacks. The Merchant Republic of Yuteho The Merchant Republic of Yuteho, with 4 millions citizens, is the firth most populated Member State and the sixth richest. The Territory of Nehra The Territory of Nehra, is the seventh most populated Member State with 2,1 millions citizens, and the seventh richest. It is well renowned for its scientific bases and advancement in health sector. The Territory of Darze The Territory of Darze, is the least populated Member State of the Merchant Federation with 0,3 millions citizens and the eighth richest. The Territory of Darze is hosting 2 Space Centers with important aero-space laboratories along the well known company of Nessa specialised in Free Energy research. |

FactBook #004 Central Trading Bank The Central Trading Bank, commonly referred as Traban, is the major Bank of the Merchant Federation, maintaining and holding the Ducat currency, Vinitsia City Stock Exchange, Genova City Stock Exchange, Velizio City Stock Exchange and many others. It regroup the 50G, 10CC, 40ST and the 8.+. The Central Trading Bank also dispose of its own security forces, under the control of the Order of Commerce, which is entirely different from regular forces of the Merchant Federation. |

FactBook #005 Government of the Merchant Federation The Government of the Merchant Federation is composed of 11 Offices : Affairs, Education, Healthcare, Culture, Infrastructures, Environment, Justice, Foreign Affairs, Defense, Trade and Finance. Vice Doges are appointed to this Office from each Member State as representative of the entire Merchant Federation. They are appointed by the Protector and the Vice Protector. The Vice Protector is appointed by the Order of Commerce through an election. His Excellence, the Honourable Protector of the Merchant Federation Post created in 1567. Post amended in 1909. Post dissolved in 1990. Post re-created in 2016. Augusto Tyre was appointed 23th Protector of the Merchant Federation the 4th July 2016.
