Government to sell off shares in Royal Rysenforth Bank

Today the government announced plans to sell off a huge amount of it's shares in Royal Rysenforth Bank. The government announced plans to maintain 52% of the shares in the bank. Many MPs protested today saying that the government is selling our economy. This would make Royal Rysenforth the first of the big 5 banks to have shares sold following the 1990s privatisation under the Socialist Government. This came as the economy under performed it's tagret and many have called a quick fix to a much, much larger issue.

Ministry of Defence to increase military presence in Tarin

Tarin, a Lydian Colony known for it's lovely beaches and sunsine. With a population of just over 120,000 it is the Kingdom's jewel on the crown being a tax haven for the rich and wealthy of Lydingsford to store there cash. But, there is another side Empress Victoria Military base it has been permanently operating for over 200 years and plays a major part in the small peninsula's history. Today, the Ministry of Defence announced plans to ramp up it's military presence on the peninsula citing the need for better defence. The military base currently home to just 8 jets is expected to see a full squadron of fighters based there. Some have said it's an attempt to project power when it isn't needed, others have said that it is to protect the people of Tarin and make sure they have a safer future. That we will have to wait and see.

Secretary of Defence to retire by August

The Prime Minister has today announced that his colleague and close friend James Hathaway MP will be retiring from his position as Secretary of State for Defence in August. Lord Hathaway who has held the position since 2011 has made major reorganisations within the Ministry since he took over the job and has said that he has tried to make sure it is smooth sailing for the next Secretary of State for Defence. Anna Santanrivo has been said to be the PM's favourite pick for the top job in the MoD.

Government announces plans to take Gryffen out of service

Today the Ministry of Defence's Strategic defence outline revealed the government plans to take the Gryffen out of service. The jet's which entered service in 1997 will either be sold or scrapped and the government is reportedly speaking to Rysenforth Systems on a design, a new military project could cost billions and as such the paper also outlined the need for more defence spending and could see it rise to the $100,000,000,000 when this years budget is released the economic figures and budget are set to be released close to each other so that the government can justify it's spending. Chester Aircraft, the manufacturers of the Gryffen, are said to be disappointed that they have not been approached for a potential aircraft but the government stated the companies inability to fund itself and poor performance in the production of the Gryffen as the main reason.
