Around the circular grass lawn stood members of the household guard ready to give salutes to any arriving representatives. Inside the grand hall in the West Wing a large circular table had been set up with each seat set with an identical folder, pen, notepad, microphone, flag and name holder. Bottles and glasses of water stood ready and a royal chamberlain ran a well trained eye over everything before satisfying himself that all was in order. King William and Crown Prince Richard, the Queen's two husbands waited with her on the Palace steps equally as nervous, this would be the first time they'd hosted a foreign delegation. Inside each folder sat a draft copy of the treaty that she'd drafted along with Prime Minister Aideen Sterling and Minister of Justice Aideen Sterling, they all doubted it would avoid the butchers knife but Sonia was at the moment hopeful. Draft Treaty OPEN TO NEGOTIATION AND EDITS SEEKING to protect the rights and freedoms of all sentient beings^[1] BELIEVING that equality and freedom are the basis of a strong society CONCERNED that in the past equality and freedom have not been extended to all sentient beings DETERMINED to work with the international community to protect freedom and equality The undersigned nations agree that the following rights are extended to all sentient beings in their territories. 1. All sentient beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. 2. All sentient beings are entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, species, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status 3. Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person. 4. No one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms. 5. No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment. 6. Everyone has the right to recognition everywhere as a person before the law. 7. All are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law. All are entitled to equal protection against any discrimination in violation of this Declaration and against any incitement to such discrimination. 8. Everyone has the right to an effective remedy by the competent national tribunals for acts violating the fundamental rights granted him by the constitution or by law. 9. No one shall be subjected to arbitrary arrest, detention or exile. 10. Everyone charged with a penal offence has the right to be presumed innocent until proved guilty 11. No one shall be held guilty of any penal offence on account of any act or omission which did not constitute a penal offence, under national or international law, at the time when it was committed 12. Everyone has the right to freedom of movement and residence within the borders of each state. 13. Everyone has the right to seek and to enjoy in other countries asylum from persecution 14. Everyone has the right to a nationality. 15. Men and women ^[2] of full age, without any limitation due to race, nationality or religion, have the right to marry and to found a family. 16. Everyone has the right to own property alone as well as in association with others 17. No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his property. 18. Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance. 19. Everyone has the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and association. 20. Everyone has the right to take part in the government of his country, directly or through freely chosen representatives 21. Everyone who works has the right to just and favourable remuneration ensuring for himself and his family an existence worthy of human dignity 23. Motherhood and childhood are entitled to special care and assistance. All children, whether born in or out of wedlock, shall enjoy the same social protection. 24. Everyone has the right to education. Education shall be free, at least in the elementary and fundamental stages. Elementary education shall be compulsory. Technical and professional education shall be made generally available and higher education shall be equally accessible to all on the basis of merit. 25. Everyone has duties to the community in which alone the free and full development of his personality is possible 26. In the exercise of his rights and freedoms, everyone shall be subject only to such limitations as are determined by law solely for the purpose of securing due recognition and respect for the rights and freedoms of others and of meeting the just requirements of morality, public order and the general welfare in a democratic society. 27. The ??? of ???? (insert date) shall be known as International Universal Rights Day and each signatory nation shall use this day to highlight and promote Universal Rights amongst their people. 28. The charter shall be reviewed every 24 months and amendments made with the approval of 2/3's of signatory members before the charter is reaffirmed. Posts: 267 Group: Regional Overseer Member #6 Joined: Jan 21, 2016 Nation: United Moreland	Alison felt it was strange to be here in Queenstown, after all she'd tried a similar convention around a year earlier and it had fallen largely on deaf ears, now however the various wars that people had used as an excuse in the North had finished, it was a more optimistic time she tried to convince herself. She'd already heard that the Five Kingdoms would be attending so that was already three nations around the table so perhaps the journey wouldn't be for nothing. She'd looked over the draft and seen a few things she'd like to add, but first it was about testing the general atmosphere of the room. Her aircraft touched down and rolled to a stop and along with her security detail she boarded a waiting car. They travelled through the streets rather speedily thanks to a police escort before turning up at the Palace. "Rather more rural than Lancaster" Queen Alison mused out loud, she liked the place , large lawns and green trees, the Palace in Lancaster was a stone affair bright white and beautiful but it lacked the grace of the greenery here. The car stopped and she exited the vehicle making her way up to the Queen. "Sonia, great to see you again" Alison said embracing her counter-part, she turned to each of the husbands in turn hoping she hadn't caused an offence greeting one before the other. It was strange she thought to have two husbands but she figured different cultures was what made the world interesting. "Thank you for hosting this, I hope you have more luck than I did" she said with a smile.

She wore a sleeveless and strapless green dress with a broach bearing her house sigil above her heart, where as the Nightblades (one dwarven man, on human man) wore full black dwarven steel armour (capable of stopping low calibre bullets) with red capes. The Nightblades separated as they reached the palace, one standing close to the door, one standing about 10m behind Lady Greenflame. Lady Greenflame then walked straight to the prime minister, taking his drink and downing it. "That's better, I was parched."

Just a quick heads up my post was that the Prime Minister had helped draft it, they weren't at the Palace entrance.....but I can work with it Queen Sonia looked at the two escorts of Lady Greenflame, with Morheim having been seen as the refuge of Venusian faithful it had attracted people from all over Audaxia, although generally speaking it was rare to find anyone following the faith who wasn't human, so seeing a Dwarf in Queenstown was exceptionally rare. "Lady Greenflame" the Queen extended a hand, "Welcome to Queenstown I'm delighted you could attend, if I may make some introductions, this is my husband King William" The spectacled man extended a hand giving a brisk nod, "Pleasure to meet you, I hope this is the start of great things between our nations" he said formally. "And this" the Queen gestured to the man flanking her on the other side, "Is my other husband CrownPrince Richard." The taller, younger of the two husbands followed much the same form as William had, "Welcome to Queenstown, I hope you have a successful and enjoyable visit to our capital." "Finally I am deeply honoured to introduce Queen Alison of United Moreland, I must admit that the whole Universal Rights concept was her idea almost a year ago, sadly they gained little support, it seemed the world was more intent on fighting wars than creating equality." Sonia said smiling at her counterpart, they'd become friendly during the formation of the League of Monarchs and Sonia hoped to build on that. While Alison was younger she'd achieved much more internationally than Sonia but the older woman was now keen to try and change that. "If you two would like to follow Richard." The tall Prince headed into the Palace with the two women following, he lead them to the rear of the Palace where the green lawns stretched away until they meet woodland, a lake dominated the foreground. They entered a large oak panelled room full of books and Richard held a chair out for each of them. "Now Lady Greenflame you'll have to forgive me but I'm not 100% familiar with your nation, I'd be delighted to learn more as I believe we have much to get to know about each other."

"I doubt there is much interesting to outsiders in Centralia my Lord. The King delegates all responsibility to poor Lord Winterborn whilst he drinks and eats his way to an early death... Actually you may have seen Lord Winterborn's offer of land in Eastmarsh for foreign industry with no tax for a number of years. It's been said that if there are any takers Centralia will be revolutionised and be a world market place within ten years by our economic forecasts, not to mention the access to a new, untapped marketplace for any nation that would take it on. But that bores me. I would rather learn how to get myself a couple of young Morheimian husbands." She brushed Richard's arm flirtatiously, she smiled as he shifted slightly uneasily. She loved making men feel uncomfortable, especially on dull diplomatic events (Greenflame is one of the most talented politicians in Centralia but often gets bored easily on diplomatic a missions).

In United Moreland you were expected to treat your hosts with decency and respect yet the Queen didn't get that vibe from this woman. "Yes we've a few Morelandish companies considering some investment, however I think they'll probably wait until I return before making any formal motions. Kind of let me test the waters so to speak"

He respectfully requests that he and his five guards be allowed a place to stay at a hotel nearby.
