LSF Battle Standard

Lungarian Security Forces
Total Strength: 2,600,000
Active Strength: 1,600,000
Reserve Strength: 1,000,000
Overview: Loyal to the Republic of Chang Lung and its people, the LSF is a large military force composed of an all volunteer active component and a considerable reserve force of conscripts. It has its roots in the early 1500 following the "War of Three Kingdoms" in which Republican forces successfully overthrew the coalition of monarchs then in power and established a lasting democratic government. Split into the Land, Sea and Air Components, the LSF primarily uses a mixture of Ignatz-developed weaponry and domestically produced assets in a primarily defensive role. They currently see continuous deployment throughout the northern fringes of its territory where banditry, crime, narcoterrorism, human trafficking and religious zealotry are threats to the Republic's longstanding stability.

Operational Doctrine: Chang Lung is a mountain nation with many rocks, crags and harsh highland territory inhospitable to all but those well acclimated to the climate. It possesses a massive fleet of armored vehicles, aircraft and artillery pieces that are primarily deployed in a primarily defensive manner in order to ward of invasion from larger nations and to support ongoing low-intensity operations spearheaded by the Land Security Component (LSC). A large number of tanks are maintained by the LSC in order to ensure a sizable quantity of operational battle tanks in the event of a national crisis. Obsolescent vehicles such as the M48A5 and the M60A3 Patton tanks are frequently used in peacekeeping operations and reserve duty against poorly equipped insurgent factions while the bulk of its modern Ocelot II and "Sabra" Main Battle Tanks (current generation vehicles) are generally designated for conventional battles against established nations.

The LSF has a modern air force and a considerable fleet of diesel-electric attack submarines that can match any comparable nation in terms of technology level and lethality. Though the United Provinces has never deployed forces outside of its own borders, it nevertheless has a very effective military strength that is often overlooked and underestimated by the rest of Audaxia.
