![]() INV LUDWIG LANBERGER NEAR COMPLETION The nations third Albatross Class aircraft carrier to be christened the INV Ludwig Lanberger is almost complete. The ship which is being constructed by Wilhemshaven Shipping in Thale is expected to be launched in the next four weeks following a full inspection by the Admiralty. The completion will take the nations carrier fleet to a total of seven with INV Ernst Albrecht expected to be completed by late 2016 bringing the fleet to full strength of eight. INV Ludwig Lanberger is named after the 3rd Duke of Holstein who was a 17th century merchant who funded much of the building of the Thale Merchant Navy which helped bring significant wealth to the city. The ancestor of Ludwig Lanberger is the current Duke of Holstein Konrad Lanberger who will launch the vessel in the coming weeks. Speaking from Holstein the current Duke said, "I'm very proud to have my ancestor honoured in this way. The new aircraft carrier will be a fine addition to our already fine navy and I wish all those who serve aboard her the best." The Navy is also considering replacing some of the Standard carrier based strategic bombers which are close to 40 years old. ![]() DUCHESS TO MOVE DEGREE TO LANCASTER Duchess Orlaith Ó Dubhshláine has announced that she is to transfer her Master's degree education to Lancaster in United Moreland. The move comes after weeks of rumours of her dating Prince Robert of United Moreland following the pair meeting in Morheim during the Highland Games. The couple have been seen around Limalk and the pair appear to be very close. The Duchess is the heir to the throne of Braide while Prince Robert is currently the heir to the throne of United Moreland. The 26 year old Duchess was formerly in a relationship with the Duke of Richmond however the pair announced their separation just after Christmas with the Duchess stating a "lack of support" for her decision to return to University being the main reason. The Duchess has one year left on a Biomedical Science Masters course and stated that transferring her degree was "aimed at gaining experience of life outside the Union and experiencing scientific thought in a different culture." |

![]() ![]() JOINT NAVAL PROJECT TO BEGIN The Ministry of Defence announced today that they have begun development of a new class of Frigate alongside League of Monarch counterparts from United Moreland and Morheim. It is thought that the project will see the three nations take equal roles in the design and manufacture phases securing several thousand jobs in the Teutonic Union's shipyards as the INV Ludwig Lanberger nears completion. The original concept drawing was unveiled at the Thale Dockyards by a Ministry of Defence spokesman show stated, " It is our hope this project will further cement the friendship that is growing between our nations and help us develop co-operative functions. The new vessel will be called the Monarch Class to reflect the foundation coming from the League of Monarchs." Our Defence expert has examined the concept's drawings and believes "the new class will feature both traditional and electric propulsion, this will make it able to run silently at times for short periods, a 4.5 inch gun at the front is complemented with a 20 mm cannon make up a traditional gun system. There also appears to be 3 sets of 32 cells of a vertical launch system allowing it to respond to a wide range of missions. Furthermore two discreet Rolling Airframe Missile launchers provide point defence along with a CWIS system. It also appears to house a helipad and has the ability to launch a RHIB from a concealed entrance in the rear. Overall the ship appears to be rather stealthy and should be a good addition to the Imperial Navy." |
