Notable Political Entities: THE ALTIC UNION Created in early 2015, this Union of Heimar and Hawkwick is a semi-parliamentary constitutional monarchy that still ascribes some power to the monarch, in this case, Kaiser Markus Albrecht I. Although about 65% of it's population is of Hawkwickan origin, the government, including the Royal Family, is almost completely derived from the former government of Heimar. It rules rather peacefully within it's borders, although due to historical reasons, the military and police are relatively feared, and in some formerly rebellious areas of Hawkwick, they are even reviled. Almost he entire population speaks English, and it is used in all forms of media throughout the nation, however the second most spoken language is Altic followed by Eldenheim , which is only spoken in the far Eastern portions of Hawkwick, including it's largest city, Rokir. Several other dialects exist. Due to it's history, the Union is on poor terms with Vandinium, which they invaded in 2017, and the NFA, which they have branded as terrorists. Despite this, they remain relatively neutral on the world stage, holding de-facto favorable relations with United Moreland, Wahland, and Renoveria, of which two are former Hawkwickan colonies. THE NFA The National Freedom Assembly of Hawkwick, was, until 2015, the leading democratic socialist party of Hawkwick. During the 2014 Hawkwickan Civil War, they rebelled against the militaristic Hawkwickan Armed Forces, attempting to take Hawkwick by force. Despite being supported by Royalist Heimar and Artstotszka during the war, they ultimately lost when HARM combined with Heimar to form the AU. The primary land controlled by the NFA is the Eld-majority Eastern Hlymrek Peninsula, although it is part of the Union in all but name. The 'true' NFA, consisting of the supporters of former Head Councilor Jory Hellhorn have been branded terrorists and have since proceeded to intercept several foreign submarines, stripping one of it's nuclear payload. Currently, despite being hunted by DRAGON, the 'true' NFA has active members in the AU, Vandinium, Renoveria, and Japao. Notable Organizations: DRAGON The Dangerous Reconnaissance Activities Government Operations Network, or DRAGON, is the chief intelligence service of old Hawkwick, and, now, the Altic Union. Headed by Director Ameile Weszterberg, DRAGON specializes in military, domestic, and international intelligence, and operates several spy networks across the globe. One of their chief operatives is Heinrich Adler. They are currently hunting the 'true' NFA, primarily Jory Hellhorn, and Yasul Bashir of Wahles, although they have also operated behind enemy lines in Vandinium and once in Malson. Their current anti-NFA taskforce also includes former Prime Minister Hinrich Reinhart. Named after the Trinitat interpretation of the god Odin, Vokun is a multinational conglomerate that specializes in weaponry, R&D, energy, and space travel. They hold PMC contracts throughout Heimar and Hawkwick, as well as the eastern Continent. They also provide vehicles and weaponry to the Altic Union, thanks to the CEO of Vokun, Jarik Narheim, being the twin brother of Jorik Narhiem, RAAF Supreme Commander. Despite this, some of their activities are more illicit. Their research facility in the northern Hibernus Ocean was destroyed from a faulty experiment, which led to an international ban on Ditranite, a volatile, Vokun-developed chemical. Notable People: Jorik Narheim Jorik Narheim Von Korin is the Supreme Commander of the Altic Armed Forces, and a powerful man in his own right, as one of three inheritors to the Narheim family fortune. He was instrumental in founding the Altic Union, going so far as to even indirectly help rescue the future Kaiser Markus, and directly participate in the coup against Matterhorn. He commands his military with an iron fist, having effectively demonstrated his command capabilities both in the latter half of the Hawkwickan Civil War as well as the initial half of the Invasion of Vandinium. He is the twin brother of Jarik Narheim, who he is on decent terms with, and is a good friend of the Kaiser, and was formerly a very good friend of Matterhorn, Hans Jensen, and Hinrich Reinhart.
