Valkyrian Lutheran Church Condemns Grand Imperator Grand Imperator, Philip Augustus. has been condemned in referendum by the Valkyrian Lutheran Church for exhibiting open homosexuality and misrepresenting the nation in diplomatic affairs. Though the monarchy institution and Church have been growing apart, the Valkyrian Lutheran community still have significant standing in the policy making of the nation. And though the churches stance on homosexuality was unclear, it was re-evaluated after Philip Augustus, came into power last year and soon after came out as a gay man. Since then, the church has been battling to gain support to indict the Augustus family for crimes against the Valkyrian Lutheran faith and remove the Augustus family from successive power. The Imperium has stood neutral to this issue until today when Philip Augustus was formally condemned by the Church with orders to remove him from position. The Vox Populi Republican Assembly Speaker, however responded, saying, "This is a matter of state concerns and if the the VPRA wishes to motion for the Grand Imperator to be removed from power for these reasons then so be it." This statement was met with the Conservatives Party in the VPRA actually motioning for Philip to be indicted with a small amount of the VPRA opposing, with only two votes going against the grain. "We must answer the call of the Church and not betray our faith by having our nation and values be represented by a whore-ish man who is also homosexual, a proven disease." despite recent studies from Valkstead University sayng in 1955 that Homosexuality is not a disease. The Imperium has countered the VPRA by moving the vote to a national decision with Philip Augustus himself stating, "Matters of who is the Grand Imperator is left up to the people, not the church." However various interpretations have been thrown around, most of them seeing that as the Valkyrian people follow the Litheran Church, the Church does indeed depict the will of the people. Valkyrian Lutheran Church Passes a Holy Edict The Church has set in place a formal Edict which present's a host of laws that announce the Church's official stance on non-human races in Audaxia. The High Minister, Gerald Hessel, of the National Church announced it saying: "We do not believe non-human creatures to be pure or hold a natural talent for hegemony over men. It is in the Valkyrian scripture, that such creatures are deemed as demonic and because of this, we believe non-human presence in Valkyria is unneeded and we are wholly against it. The Church will refuse to protect, serve and offer communion to any non-human creature, any non-human shall be deemed internationally as 'demons'." Mixed opinions from the public have been reached, most are undecided or don't care, the vast majority of those 'not caring' under the 16 to 30 age bracket. Others feel strongly, saying that the Constitution protects against such discrimination, however High Minister Gerald Hessel addressed this concern the Church's way, "The Constitution protects from the Government, not the church of the people's will." However, at 54%, a small win of majority, most Valkyrians are rallying behind the edict calling it justice to the culture and pride of the Valkyrian people and human's everywhere. Imperial Valkyrian Space Agency  New Valkyrian Shuttle The old Valkyrian Shuttle is being replaced with the 'Dauntless', which is due to launch 'very soon' according to IVSA. The new shuttle is designed for more heavy transport and will partake in constructing IVSA's 'Orbital Research Facility', which is open for investment from several space faring companies. IVSA says the station will help research in long periodical space travel, the project s expected to aid in research for a manned mission to Bellona as well as research into a manned space station around the Moon. |

Grand Imperator Repent's Sins to Church Lord and Grand Imperator Philip Augustus has repented the sins of homosexual relations in front of the High Minister, Gerald Hessel this morning. The Lord Imperator publicly stated. "I have shamed my countrymen and the family I represent by leading the nation in such a sinful way. I beg the church to forgive my sin against the Holy Lutheran scripture and ask the VPRA to do the same." the church accepted Philip Augustus's move and he has maintained his position as Grand Imperator of the nation. The Augustus family will also maintain rule over the Imperium throne for the coming years as Philip Augustus also announced that he has found a future spouse and that him and Lady Marta Krzycka are planning on getting married, Marta, soon to be Marta Augustus, will be named the Grand Imperatrix on the coronation/wedding day, ordained by the High Minister. Philip has insisted the event be held private and no media will be allowed to witness it. Imperium Expands on Education and Healthcare The Augustus throne, tuition free education and single-payer universal healthcare system have gone into effect nationally today as a part of the 'Economic Stimulus' Package passed by the VPRA last year. Tis package, also bringing in new tax and business incentives, aims to re-start the growth of the central income bracket in Valkyria and grow it. Ministry of Economics announces that this, alongside recent trade policy perused on the international stage can boost the self-sufficiency, growth and strength of the Valkyrian economy. |

Military Allows First Elves to Serve in the Military and Deems "Furries" Experimental Deployment Elven Woman Pilot, One of the First Despite the Churches edict against non-human races, the military has pushed to the induction of non-humans into the military as recruitment numbers have been undergoing a decline in past years, despite national service. This does not mean non-humans will be allowed for draft in National Service, but that on a volunteer bases they'll be allowed to join. Marshal Jaci Royle, who mother was elven, proudly announced this new legislation stating: "Valkyrian minorities will have a chance to prove themselves on the battlefield." Non-human's who enter the armed forces will receive the same benefits, in addition to receiving their full freedoms as human counterparts, such as having a a claim to several Human Rights approved by the church. However, the military is not letting furries join unless certain conditions are met, background checks and deep physiological test must be taken, tails must be doxed, must be declawed, must be chipped and fixed. What the government officially refers to as furries, will be formed into their own experimental units to measure combat effectiveness, no minorities are allowed in the Spacial Forces.
