Compulsory Military Service Indecisiveness. |
---|
02-12-2016
The Avhallian government works once again with the military to "Bolster where we are being left behind." says General Drevios. To his surprise, his request was not accepted as openly as it had been before. This time General Drevios had to work overtime to gain the necessary votes to consider this motion in the congress. In the past 5 years compulsory military service was voted and passed twice. In 2011 and 2014. Both times nearly a year later was deemed unnecessary and was revoked.
With a vote of 289 yea and 211 nay, the motion passed The president later that day agreed not to vito despite the controversy. Rather he put forth "State elections". So the sovereign nations democratically decide in the next coming weeks, if it is necessary for their people. If it passes in their nation, their people will fallow the current government law of compulsory military. If it does not pass in their nation, the citizens are not subject to that law.

Tyak Praises President While Controversy Sweeps Gaheil |
---|
2-29-2016 After the elections their has been a mix bag of emotions towards the election results. Last week a multitude of praises came from the newly sovereign nation of Tyak. President of Tyak, Halje Fermtaz stated "Thank you Yagil Sami for your wise choice for allowing my people to choose to serve. We had our doubts before. When you came here and liberated North Pake from their tyranny. Our trust was fragile and all we could do is expect the worst from someone with such great power. Now we see what you intend to do, and know what freedom looks like with support from a great ally. We look forward to working along side you democratically and being in part of Avhali. With our greatest praises to you again President, Yagil Sami."
While it was a great success for some nations, others are in toil of ever having one. Gaheil came only a hairs width from complete chaos. The vote of 51% to 49%, passing compulsory military service did not go peacefully. The tallies have been recounted 7 times since. The only differing number was a possible 52% for compulsory military service. The opposing voters and parties are asking for an official pardon from King Godfrey. Nothing has been decided yet.

Healthcare Reform of Gaheil - Gaheil Wall Times (Newspaper) |
---|
In sight of the recent rioting in Gaheil. A multitude of injuries and deaths have put into question the affordability of healthcare. Those suffering from the poverty of the recent age, can agree that the price is simply too high for the average person. Changes must be made to help compensate the large amount of poverty. Recent polling was done with haste, as a compulsory vote was put to better understand who is in need of this new kind of service. The pole had made a rough estimate of about 39% being under the poverty line. In later months more compulsory votes will be done to better understand the amount per person can afford. Proposals of government controlled healthcare to create affordable and flat rate packages. An Universal healthcare act will be made in the next year. And then will be purposed to seek acceptance to the supreme council.

King Godfrey Jordan, "I have seen our kingdom suffer long enough. We have an ever growing debt in our country, and our people are suffering. Jobs are being lost every day, and families ruined. Recent riots are have shown me how desperate people are getting. Desperate to be herd, and for action. I promise you, you will not be left ill. You're manner of well being is where everything starts. Private sectors are robbing you blind, and creating further debt to the people. Because of this we must take away their abused responsibilities and make a more equal place for us all.
In the next year, we shale work together to create the Universal Healthcare Act. Compulsory voting is necessary to ensure we have the correct numbers and information to get this right. When we are finished. I will purpose this act to the supreme council for their aprooval. "
