The Yucadian Press Yucadia's Premier News Elections Begin  Maynard Lthyxohn(left - Ijqxojji Party) and Icar Farox(Xii Uak Party) The current Prime Chancellor's(Maynard Lihyxohn) term is almost up in two months, meaning Republican Council elections are underway. Maynard Lihyxohn is running again under the platform of sustaining economic progress made, while expanding the basis of Yucadian principles to solidify foreign agreements, such as political and economic. The Ijqxojji Party(Guardian Party) stated that if they win the seat's on the Republican Council and Maynard Lthyxohn is appointed Prime Chancellor for the consecutive year, a political emphasis to expand economic opportunity will be pursued. "This is a time in the world when Yucadia cannot be quiet, we need to secure out people's interest through engaging policy, not isolationist ideals." the party publicly released. The Xii Uak Party sees it different however, saying that Yucadia is, "Playing with fire, international affairs that do not pursue the direct common good of the Yucadian people are of absolutely no interest to our countrymen." Icar Farox has backed this saying in his third and final run for Prime Chancellor office. So far, current polling indicate the second election of Maynard Lthyxohn by a long shot, while more 'liberal' polling systems enforce that Icar Farox could quite possibly pull off a landslide, with the Yucadian people divided politically greater than ever before in history. Political experts suggest the Ijqxoji Parties inclusive rhetoric, combined with the recent hostility among nations, have steered the people away from Maynard's policy making. Department of Infrastructure and Economics Announces the Construction of a New Merchant Marine Fleet  Sponsored by the Yucadian Seafaring Inc. a new fleet of state of the art nuclear power Merchant ships will be constructed, alongside this the overhauling expansion of Port Andi in Escala will take place. "We've seen a huge influx of economic activity, our country has a high demand to import resources from all over while maintaining our growing, technological sector." This fleet is expected to move large amounts of goods and travel extremely long distances, making trading efforts more viable over long distances at more efficient speed. Yucadian Seafaring Inc. Confirms Another Collaborative Project With Government Though unsure where the artificial island will exactly be, YSI has announced that an artificial island will be constructed by Yucadia in the near future, most likely south Yucadia primed for Economic focuses. The Island's, have been described as central port centre's, on the island, a large University is planned to be constructed and small city. Structure can be expanded on water to different, smaller islands constructed around it but ways of the artificial shallow bottom of the sea. The Island will also be entirely self-sufficient in energy, as an experiment YSI has met with Yucadia Interactive, a rising green energy company. The island is planned to be powered by a vast array of on-water wind turbines and in the bodies of water on the island, solar panels as well as small hydro power dams. It is a multi-billion dollar project that Yucadia says, will pay off, providing educational and economic opportunity. |
