FactBook #002 Organisation The Free City of Darze have a very particular of organisation, as its “Government” is very nearby of the people, with weekly referendums that are more a common and basic thing in order to take the decisions are organised. The City Council is elected every 6 months through a non-candidate election. The same is for the Mayor, which is considered more as a symbolic figure that also propose major programs, but at the end, the citizens always have the word. Mayor serves as a figure of authority out of Darze and is considered as its representative for all external entities by following the line defined by the City Council. Darzeans also, through the weekly referendums, decide about the budget, taxation, budget allocations, projects and others, which makes, some years the Free City in deficit, even if throughout the years, due to a greater implication of the citizens, a budget stability have been found with around an 8% tax. |

The actual Protector of the HGC, being elected in 2007, is Emperor Hans Huber of the Empire of the Teutonic Union. Even if technically independent, the HGC take a huge place in the Free City local economy and foreign affairs, with most of the international representation being made by the Teutonic Union, talking as the Holy Germanic Confederation to the World. Created in the Holy Year of 800, the Confederation continued to occupy the region with minors changes since then, with a great expansion brought by the Teutonic Union after many their many conquests during the medieval ages and renaissance. *Please note this is a draft and don't enter within the RP for the moment* |

FactBook #003 Eintrag Wache Entry Guard Even if not possessing an official army, due to its membership in the Holy Germanic Confederation, the Free City of Darze possess a security force, known as “Eintrag Wache”, literally meaning “Entry Guard” that have as main goal to protect official buildings entries and make respect order within the territory of the Free City. The Entry Guard is also at the disposal of the Protector of the Holy Germanic Confederation. The Entry Guard of Darze have known many battles and fought in many wars side by side with others regiments and guards coming from the Confederation. With a total of 2401 soldiers, most of the soldiers aren't in fact Darzeans and are coming from other Free Cities/Duchies/Kingdoms of the Confederation due to its well-known reputation and honour, as the Entry Guard also protect the electors during the elections of a new Protector. |
